Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada

Bill Gardner is the southern district vice president representing North Las Vegas Local 1609, Boulder City Local 5073, Mount Charleston Local 4621, and Pahrump Valley Local 4068. His primary responsibility is to act as the liaison between the officers of the above organizations and the Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada. He also helps provide information or assistance to enable the Locals he represents to better serve their members.

Before relocating to Nevada, Bill was a member of a trade union and later served on the district staff of U.S. House of Representatives member Sue Kelly in New York. Currently, he is a firefighter with the North Las Vegas Fire Department and serves as secretary/treasurer of North Las Vegas Local 1607.

Bill attended Dutchess Community College, where he earned his associate degree in liberal arts. Later, he returned to school to earn his bachelor’s degree in health science from the State University of New York and, following that, his master’s degree in public administration from Grand Canyon University.

In addition to fulfilling his duties within Local 1607 and PFFN, Bill is the founding board member of the Nevada Chapter of the Terry Farrell Firefighter’s Fund, an organization that aids fire fighters and their families in times of need. He is also the snare drummer for IAFF Local 1607 Honor Guard and the Las Vegas Police and Fire Emerald Society and is a member of the combined Las Vegas Valley Fire Departments Rugby Club.

Bill has called the Las Vegas Valley home for 22 years and enjoys spending his time with his wife, Kristin, and their daughter, Finley, and son, Liam.
