Todd Harrison

Todd Harrison, a member of the Bureau of Land Management, died on July 11, 1980, when the plane he was in helping drop batteries to firefighters fighting a two-acre wildfire crashed. It was speculated that the parachute of the package they were dropping either opened prematurely inside the plane or got caught in the tail end upon exit causing the plane to crash into an isolated peak of the Schell Creek Range.

Harrison was born November 7, 1958, in Logan, Utah to Garey and Marry Harrison. He was educated in Ely Grade School and White Pine High School graduating with the class of 1977. He participated in sports all through his high school career. He was also president of his Senior Class. Following graduation, Mr. Harrison attended Brigham Young University and was most recently enrolled at the Utah Technical College in Provo, Utah. He was also actively involved in church activities as an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was survived by his mother, father, sisters, grandfather, grandmothers, uncle, aunt, and cousins.
